What is the definition of Synthetic?

It actually means "Created from basic components". (Synthesised). But it has come to mean "not real" "artificial" somehow inferior to "the real thing" (whatever that is).

Synthetic comes from the Old English, synn (= sin) combined with the Greek theos(= god). So synthetic describes a sin committed by God. >:-/

Sin is a funny old word Virginia. It has no meaning whatsoever outside the context of religion. A person may be good or bad, may be evil, even, but that person is NOT a sinner.
