Find a youtube channel with good home workouts. To get into shape for running, I've always done Fitnessblender. Lots of people love Blogilates too, but she does things that are a bit advanced.
I say don't cut out food-after all, your working out keeps your metabolism high and it becomes normal to get hungry more often. Just cut the junk food and sweet drinks. So this does not mean salads only, but basically anything but candy, milkshakes, fast food. If you can't cut them out entirely yet, try limiting yourself to the weekends or whatever day.
From experience, it takes about 3 weeks of working out and healthier eating to feel the results. You'll get there, you just have to make sure to stay strong with it.
