Do the people who say those who seek asylum should be able to make a positive contribution or be sent home also believe those who were born here who can't make positive contributions should be sent elsewhere or are they being stupidly hypocritical?

Uhmmmm ... I think the question is stupid.

If you are born here ... Can't make a "positive contribution" (whatever that means) ... And are "sent home" - - you are still here.

Personally, I think if there are enough asylum seekers from any country - we should train them, arm them, and send them back to take their country "for the People".  With full support from our military, of course.  (I'm pretty sure if the millions of people displaced by ISIS were capable of fighting back, ISIS would be gone within a couple months)

Nope ... still not hypocritical.
They say that because they don't believe taxpayers should support people who can't make it on their own. They say the same thing about people born here, who are on government assistance. So they are being consistent.
