Yin And Yang

Remind me again that rest is best for little ones not feeling well? I am fighting being anxious because Jr has been sleeping a lot and began running a fever. With my girls I use to do everything in my power to help them sleep. With Jr, it is so out of his personality. He is my little go go go go go child! Lol! ☺

Rest is best for the little ones, not feeling well, Yin.

Hope it's short-lived.

Thank you my friend. 😊
His fever is controlled, he got up and was "himself" a little, finished his popsicle, took a sip of a drink, made me laugh, asked for his trucks (You tube on the phone) and fell back asleep. ☺ this is his "normal" nap time also. ☺

Well, it's not necessarily bad.

When I was 4 & 5 I was sick a lot (finally had my tonsils out when I was 6---entered the hospital on Christmas day.)  I remember having a high enough temperature that I was hallucinating in bed while drifting in and out of sleep.

Made me a little paranoid about my kids when they were of similar age if they were sleeping a lot---I always kept a close eye on their temperatures so their brains didn't get "cooked."

Normally a child's activity level correlates inversely with his temperature when they are pre-school age.

But from you example, it seems like he's doing just fine.

My friend! How scary is that! I am so glad you are okay. I most definitly understand the extra "nerves" when a loved one is of a reminder age. When I was about to turn 37 I gave myself my very first real panic attack (not anxiety attack it was panic) swore I was dying. I physically had symptoms of heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke, maybe it was cancer, oh my goodness what if it's something a doctor has never heard of! What it boiled down to..... I was paranoid to turn 37 because my second sister died when she was 37.

Yes, I can understand that under the circumstances.

I'm sorry your baby is sick. It can be worrying especially when they don't feel well and their personality is not the same. Give him lots of snuggle hugs and kisses. I'd bet by tomorrow he'll be running around and feeling better.  (((hugs to you, my friend))

Time sure does fly! I often wonder where does it go? Then I see all these "young" parents with their noses in their phone and my heart breaks as I see their toddler, elementary, young children being by their self. 😔 it saddens me cuz they will look up from their phone and realize a decade and a half has passed them by and their children will not want to have any thing to do with them cuz they know no different! 😔

Totally agree with you on this, my friend. Very sad. What I hate the most are the mothers that have the child in a stroller, eyes glued on their phones. There is no chatting with the child, pointing out things to see on their walk. What in the world is so important?

I agree! SERIOUSLY!! And they do it even when their child is talking to them or getting an award from school. (Saw that one to!)
