If you are asking about this website, then yes you can. Your username can be anything that you'd like.

See the first paragraph in "Terms of use". You MUST be prepared to use your real name. However, I think I am the only contributor that does.

It brings up an interesting philosophical question I sometimes ponder:  Who does your name belong to?

If my name belongs to me, I can change it anytime I want - without asking any body's permission.

If "my" name doesn't belong to me, I have to ask permission to change it.

Is this in reference to this verse:

"In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever."

Why not seek a name that doesn't carry such message of "Magic and myth" . . . You could be known as "Gandalf the Grey" . . .
