For dogs:

Let your dog sleep with you tonight.  Check your sheets tomorrow for actual detritus or fleas themselves.  Monitor yourself during the day to see if you itch more than usual.

Option 2---Look for fleas around the top of the tail and the back of the dog where the tail meets the body.  It's a preferred location for fleas when they are on your dog.

Hello Macauluy! In my case, it’s pretty easy to detect these nuisances! I will feel their presence pretty quickly as they will start biting me hard. They will usually leave me very itchy and bruised and I normally take action as soon as I can! Spray some insecticide all over the place as soon as you notice them and prevent everyone from going into the area for a few hours. Good luck!
