Do you test out the water or do you jump in ? If you have a pool

I have to test it. Nothing worse than getting into cold water without realizing it. We have a pool and a spa and to be honest, I'd rather be in the spa. I like hot water and I'm not much of a swimmer.

I'll stick in a hand or foot to get an idea of the temp.  But if I decide to go in, I jump in all at once.  I don't like prolonging the adjustment time. 🥶

I like to test the water and go in extremely slowly
