I have a Sonata Model 560 16-stitch sewing machine. Don't have an owner's manual. Don't know how to make adjustments for various settings or issues with stitching. When I go to stitch, the thread keeps breaking after 10-12 stitches?

My kenmore sewing machine is stuck! Like the needle won't go up or down! I've tried taking apart the bottom where the thread is but it didn't help. The knob won't work to move the needle. I don't know what's wrong with it?
