I am a user from ask trying to find a good Q&A site. Blurtit.com to me is a little cheesy .. Is there any other site that is popular and preferably has an app too?

If you think Blurtit is cheesy, then you can certainly look for another site. There are many if you Google question and answer sites. Sorry you think that way but I think you'll find that most people like it here just fine.

This is a best cyber bully-free website you will ever find, it's calming here, people are nice to talk to, I like cause it's reserved and no one judges you here .your accepted no matter what age..

www.answerbag.com/ looks nice, I don't know if it has an app though.

I'll add any more I find:

Answerbag should be called Glitchbag........one glitch after another, also a lot of trolling going on there.........but, enjoy.

hmm, maybe it isn't so nice after all. I just scrolled through a couple pages hours ago and it didn't seem so bad before. There's a bunch of spam on the front page now :/

I am also an ask migrator. There are others such as Quora and Yahoo answers, but this site seems to be the best and the closest to ask that I have seen so far. Good luck!

My favorite has to be Quora, though it's more professional and less silly like how Ask is. Sometimes I prefer the silly.

Quora seemed too professional to me. Even moreso than ASK. I'm with you; I prefere the silly sometimes as well as the opinion questions that appear from time to time.

There's a time for Quora and StackOverflow and there's a time for ASK/Blurtit.

Up until about a week ago SodaHead WAS one of the best Q&A sites. There are many sites started by former, kicked-out members that are trying to get off the ground (zangle.yooco.org or xsodaheads.com being two of them) but, for the most part, they are in their formative stages of development.

Obviously I'm going to be a little biased about Blurtit, but I genuinely do think it's a really enjoyable site to spend time on.

When it comes to Q&A sites, the thing I've learned is that, sure...design and functionality are important...but actually it's the community and people who use the site that make it good, bad or whatever!

I enjoy spending time on other Q&A sites like Quora, especially when I'm looking for info related to work, but I kind of see Blurtit as more like the place I go to answer questions for "fun", rather than as part of research or networking etc...

That's not to say everything is perfect on Blurtit. We do get some random questions, definitely some cheesy ones... But we're learning, and open to suggestions and ideas, and (I hope) we're moving in the right direction - and trying to offer something that, sadly, a lot of other sites seem to have forgotten about.

Thanks for the information. I am brand new here, was previously on Ask.com. Blurtit looks like a great site, and I am happy to have found it out.

Like you said, It's about the community. That is the only reason I come to sites such as blurtit or ask; for the people.

Very true Corey, I totally agree. The community aspect is what makes a site like this great. The people are the real gem, and that sure is what draws me back.
