I always read my rental agreements when I rented an apartment / duplex. The mortgage I skimmed through it before I signed. I taught my son to always read through the papers before signing, because sometimes, there is something in the agreement that wasn't discussed or they were trying to slip through because the majority of people don't read the agreements.
