It's said that you should be careful what you wish for because your wishes may come true. Has there been an instance in your life where you've got your wish and been unhappy about it?

Yes . When I bought my first home I wished to be mortgage free at a young age  . I was mortgage free and owned my home out  right by age 34. . I'd love to still be working towards paying my mortgage off. I didn't want it that way .

You could always pay off another place if you feel comfortable with debt. :D Actually my son did that. Owned his home by 30 then bought another as an investment. This year he bought a third, down by the beach, and rented it out. That will be his retirement home (he's 54 now). Then he and his wife sold their original home and are renting until they decide it's time to put their feet up.

Dozy I cannot really think of any...I always was kinda frightened and reluctant to take life on, I did not make many wishes mainly just coping day to day...

So delightful things have just seemed to pop up unwished, and life turned out okay and I am surprised at how lovely life is.

I worked retail for years. I was tired of working nights and weekends. So I applied for a job at a bank thinking I would be working 9-5 Monday through Friday I got the job and I worked those hours for about 6 months. Then I got promoted to teller supervisor. Then they fired another branches whole teller line in one day, and I was lead teller for two branches and working 50-60 hours, and going in for a few hours on Saturdays. I ended up having a panic attack one day after getting a call at home from the tellers. I am not a panic attack kind of person. That is when I asked for someone else to take over the second branch, and got my hours back down. My husband updated my resume and started sending it out without telling me. I had a new job in a couple of months later with better pay, and better hours.

I wanted to get away from it all.

Now I'm here. I had to learn to be happy,

with all that is. Emotional package is over rated.

I remember a radio play named "A Call of Nature" in which a leading businessman walked out of a press conference and kept walking. He found an isolated spot on the coast of Scotland. Everything went well for a couple of years and he was happy living simply, close to nature. Then somebody realised that the spot would be great for a resort and civilisation casught up to him.

I once interviewed a nervous woman on radio. Whenever, and however I asked her a question she would answer in a monosyllable so that I ended up answering my own questions and trying to make it sound as though she was answering.

So I try to ask my questions on her in such a way that Yes or No are insufficient. Dagnabbit, I failed! But 'no' is an excellent answer, Megan. :)
