Take it a day at a time.

Most of my focus is on the here and now but I'm always spending a little bit of that focus on the future. You've got to be ready for anything.

I'm with you, Hippy. A guy named Paddy Pallin once said, "The best place to be is here, the best time to be here is now." But you gotta remember that tomorrow's gonna get here on schedule and we need that readiness.

Plan for tomorrow,  live for today, otherwise you are always playing catch-up but never really enjoying life.

I always focus on today because who can predict what tomorrow may bring ?

I can make myself crazy overthinking my future. To save my sanity, I focus on the now, I might not wake up tomorrow and life is not as overwhelming if i just deal with my here and now.

I focus on today, but with the fact that what I am doing today will have an influence on my future in mind.

That's why it helps to have your principles handy for immediate reference.

A general philosophy of life and a plan for living that is consistent with that philosophy is also a great help.

Why?---because it works really well.

It's great to plan and hope for the future, but realize that the present is all we have for certain.  We need to make the most of each day as it comes.
