It does seem that way. Same thing as getting in the wrong line at the grocery store.
Oh my gosh!!!!! YES! My husband had to fix a mistake that wasn't even his fault. He was at the DMV a total of 8 times in less then a week! You gotta have a lot of patience for a DMV trip!
I think it's that way almost every day at the DMV! Your best bet is to make an appointment. If you do, you're in and out much faster.
I was just at the DMV this past Tuesday and it wasn't to bad. In and out in about 20 minutes.
Oh my gosh the last time I went, my number was so far off I decided to leave go do some shopping I needed to do and come back.
I left was gone over an hour came back looked at the number and the one I had still hadn't been called.
Yes, DMVs are where stories are made. Now a days you can do a lot on line but not everything. I was given a tip once about an out of the way DMV office just across the county line. Since it is a state operation it doesn't matter in which office you use. It was a twenty minute ride but I was in and out in less than ten minutes. There were greeters at the door who would give you a number, escort you to the correct line then fetch any forms you might need. I was speechless. So many thank yous, so many have a nice day, so many how can I help you? When I was leaving I told a greeter at the door, "this place is unbelievable!" She yes it sure is, come back and see us again, we have free donuts on Tuesdays.
