In honor of Mothers day tomorrow, what is something special you remember your mom (the one who raised you not necessarily the one who gave birth) doing?

Every year on the day before my birthday, she'd make my favorite cake, an angel food cake. She'd let it sit uncovered all night so the outer part would get crunchy (that's the way I LOVED it). The cake was mine, all mine and I usually finished the entire thing in one day. I never sliced the cake, I would just grab a fistful every time I walked past it.

This is exactly how we eat angel food cake also! Except for we always covered it. I am gonna leave it uncovered next time to try it your way!!! 😆

I haven't had it for a few years. I'll have to look through my mom's old recipe box and see if I can find it.

She loved to go shopping. She liked to look on the clearance racks for clothes. Afterwards she would love to stop somewhere and have a hot fudge sundae.

She always told me I could be anything I wanted to be when I grew up, even president. That is not something a lot of girls heard in the 60s and early 70s. Heck some girls today are still being told they are limited because they are female.

My mom would take us to the lake and let us flirt with the life guards! Lol!
