I've pulled many ticks off of my body, mostly when I was a youngster. I've never had any kind of reaction from ticks.
No never thank goodness.
My daughter and I were taking a walk and she brushed by a bush. (This all happened really fast) Suddenly she said somethings biting her. I checked her sun dress strap right near the crease of her armpit just as a bug was moving its head. Without thinking I quickly responded and plucked it off throwing it on the ground then stepping on it out of anger for it biting my girl! Something told me to pick ups it's body so I could identify it and it definitely resembled a tick. She had a red mark but no reaction. We now call that bush the tick bush. Lol
Yes, I was bitten by a tick when I was six & was too scared to tell my mum and by the time that my mother found The tick it had sucked so much blood and had blown up to the size of a ping-pong ball. Had to go to the chemist and get it taken out by putting your alcohol on the tick.
Yes. 3 times in the last 2 years. The last 2 sort of puzzled me because they were not in deep, but they were dead and still latched on good. I'm assuming they came off of our dog. She gets a topical treatment every month that repels and kills ticks and fleas. The third tick was in my arm pit but I never developed the bullseye rash. Deer ticks are the most common in my area and they are one of the kinds of ticks that transmit lyme's disease. I usually check the dog good before I let her in the house. I always spray good with Deep Woods Off if I'm going to be in the thicket.
Twice. Most recently about a month go. I was camping and Skully and I went down a trail that had too much brush. When we got back to the camper I went over him with one of those tape lint rollers and he was clean. I got inside and put my clothes in a plastic and checked myself. I was good. However when I got home and put the clothes in the washer I got a tick from them. Pardon the pun, but it ticked me off! I was so careful up to that point.
Never been sick by either bite.
