At noon on Christmas eve, friends have been meeting to play football. This has been happening for over 40 years. I don't play anymore but it is fun to watch and catch up with everyone.

I never realized how many people get down around the holidays. For the last 14 years I thought I was alone in the "down" group. But now that I am feeling jolly again, its heart breaking to see all the down people. I personally think it's too commercialized. All the mumbo jumbo junk squeezes the joy out of the season. We have been working hard at not being sucked into the hype and focus more on faith and real family. Also I am working on not being the "people pleaser peace keeper" I've always been. The holidays become more pleasant for me each year. ☺
It takes time my down friends. But you will find your jolly or joy again. 😊 Don't push it, just embrace it! 🤗
Christmas Eve with my loved ones.
This year, it will be December 18th. I'm scheduled for some major surgery on that date after a year and a half of dealing with the problem. So, I've found a great doctor and they can perform part of this with a robot, so the recup time will be - hopefully - cut in half. Fingers crossed!
