You can make friends on mostly all social media websites. If
you are looking for people to hang out with, I would advise you to join groups
with members that live in your city/area. Thus, you will be able to meet up without
difficulty. However, remember that it will not hurt to get acquainted with
someone who lives in another country as well.
I can't top Darrens answer but we here at blurtit would like you to stick around. We are a tight group of people. Most of us go back years from 2 other sites that closed down. But we always like new people to be a part of our little family.
Go out in public. Most people are friendly. It costs nothing.
You can make some new friends here! There are quite a few refugees from Ask here on Blurtit, I was Ask for years, maybe we were friends there. :)
