Broken toes and a mangled ankle.

The biggest problem was a severe allergic reaction to neoprene insoles. My skin shed up to my knees. The same thing happened from my hands to my elbows. I had to sleep with medicated cream and plastic grocery bags wrapped around my feet and hands for at least a month. I did a patch test which is 100 little gauze pads with different chemicals taped to my back for three days to find out what I was allergic to. Now I only have to worry about arthritis in my right foot from a broken bone.

That sounds pretty nasty.

It was. It really sucked. It's amazing how a body can all of a sudden decide to be allergic to something. I never had a problem with it before that.

That would have been during my first marathon.  I'd never run the whole 42 kilometres before and went out too fast. By the time i'd gone 25 km a pretty girl ran past me and I was so tired I didn't even look at her. By the time I'd gone 35 km I was trying to pretend I didn't have feet at all.

I'd say that my left foot has been replaced by a prosthetic might be a problem. The other one is fantastic though! ;)
