In my opinion, zoo's should be empty.
What is your favorite animal to see at the zoo?
The Toronto Zoo has a blackfooted ferret breeding program that is completely closed to the public. Even the zookeepers use cameras to avoid as much contact as possible. The ferrets learn to catch live rodents and are released back into the wild.
I can't go see them, and that's the way it should be. Now if they could fund this without exploiting animals, it would be perfect. I also agree with sanctuaries that rescue from the illegal wildlife trade.
Zoos I have issues with.

Tota?lly not into zoos even tho Omaha's zoo is world renown.

It's been a while, but I liked the otters, seals, sea lions, and tree shrews
