Sounds like something Lazarus Long (from Heinlein's "Time Enough for Love") would have been happy with. I understand completely what he meant. :)

Here you go Dozy...Stardate 5630.8, Episode "Is There In Truth No Beauty?"

Dr. MIranda Jones: "I know now that the glory of creation is in its infinite diversity."

Mr. Spock: "And in the way our differences combine to create meaning and beauty."

(I used to take notes on Star Trek philosophy...many of their themes playing out on world stages in succeeding decades...)

Hi Dozy, yes I myself really did try but just could not find as much delight in the descendants of the original series...however, for that question on Biographies, I was reading about Isaac Asimov's widow (since I have read Isaac's own biography), and she apparently watched ALL of them over and over...

And I do recall, I searched out the IA biography as a result of one of our discussions on Ask, you and me sharing our delight in that fine author...

He adored that woman while at the same time deploring his first wife. (She sounded like the sister of Hippy's first wife.)

His wife has written books in her own right though I've never read any of them.

I remember too, it was a love story for the ages...in his autobiography IA mentioned that probably his last words would be his love for his wife, and the wife inserted the note that indeed those were his last words...

The first is one of the most memorable quotes ever to come from a movie; the second one of the most threatening. Where did the third come from?

Interstellar - "It only has to work once" (related to trying and not giving up)

Rango - No man can walk out of his own story.
