I have public water and it's loaded with chlorine and tastes like crap. I have a filter under the sink that gets rid of the taste.
Do you drink tap or filtered water? Why?
I have a whole house water softener and a reverse osmosis filter on my tap water. It is full of lime and calcium and I like not having kidney stones.
My water comes from a well, but I have a filtration system that includes an iron filter, calcium filter and a water softener.
I run the municipal water supply from the tap through my filtered coffee system to kill anything living in it & filter out any larger chunks of material.
I drink boiled and filtered water ,so that microorganisms in it would get killed and filtered .
I drink filtered water. The water here isn't particularly bad, but I just figure, why not filter it? There were times when they were working on the pipes during home construction the water came out brown. I might as well just filter it every time in case something like that happens.

Straight tap water. We're very lucky here in that our water supply is from a fresh water reverse across the bay that is very clean. I've had tap water from the city before I knew that in some places, tap water needs to be filtered, and it took several mints to get the taste out of my mouth!!!
