Writing! I have all my writings in pen and paper first. Then I put them to type.....
Reading a handwritten letter. Bonus goes to seeing it in my mailbox. All the anticipation of slicing it open, seein the style of paper & ink chosen Love to see the impressions of pen pressure on words written in ink. The cursive style ! Not to forget the cancelled stamp. The thoughtfulness of someone taking their time to write is so wonderful.
Its all becoming a forgotten skill.
( its almost art. So very personal and beautiful sometimes....ha ha as long as it's not a bill )
Washing my car in the driveway. No automatic car washes for me.
instead of doing the whole self check out thing at the store I would rather someone check out my groceres.
Paying for things with cash instead of using a debit or credit card.
Having real conversations rather than texting.
I like cooking over a wood fire.
Reading from books, I really don't like Ebooks. And normal interaction with people, all this social media seems to have made relationships fake.
I still like ironing!
Leaving my phone at home so I'm not on call 24/7.
Cooking from scratch.
Eating organic food which use to be normal before GMO.
Talking not texting.
Writing letters.
Reading books
I prefer old TV's as the new ones can pull on my eyes with how bright they are and give me motion sickness.
I do not like self service, especially in the post office.
I used to prefer when children played in the street instead of now on game consoles and social media.
When you could fix your car instead of having to take it to a mechanic and pay for all the electrics. Remember the "choke?" :D I still have a car where I wind down my windows.
When health and safety gone mad didn't exist and you could have fun at your own risk.
Fixing things instead of joining the throw away society.
The list goes on, I hate the way we live today,it has created dependency instead of independency, and dependency costs a lot. We live in a world of technology and apps and have lost our freedom and togetherness.
Some simple things I really enjoy . . . Maybe its just the movement more then the desired result. When our dishwasher died I enjoyed washing dishes by hand and watching the birds outside the window. I like ironing my clothes. I thoroughly enjoy cooking and baking from scratch. For some reason painting seems very "zen" like to me . . . I should define that IO like painting, I dieslike preping the wall for painting . . .
I prefer 'actual' reality as opposed to the 'virtual' kind.
Wearing my pants at the waist (with a belt) as opposed to the pitiful new fad of somewhere far below.
I like the sound of vinyl records.
Finding love. Meeting people online is inevitable in today's world (you guys are great), but face-to-face encounters are infinitely more worthwhile. Online dating, to me, is a dangerous farce. Pity those who claim to love someone they have never stood in a room with. The entire concept is tragically lost on them. The whole course of social interaction is streaming down a dark hole, in my view.
Depends on being set in your ways.
