I remember it very well. My daughter turned six that year, and we enjoyed six more years with my husband before he died in 1992.

1980 must have been a wonderful year of births! I remember 1986 as my sister being 6! 🤗
That was the year I was officially divorced from my first wife and got full custody of my son. It was a good year.

I remember I spent several months of ‘86 in the Central American jungle. It was also the year I first met my wife, though it was a casual meeting, I thought she was (and is) breathtaking. Actual romance didn’t bloom until early ‘87.
It was a great year for music.
