The tradeoff from the global business shutdown is that the air is cleaner in most of the world, rivers and watercourses also. Will we go back to our polluting ways afterwards?

lets not pollute the air.

lets not run the coal power plants

u can generate electricity by adding and running solar panels, wind, and hydroelectric plants.

also, switch to LED lights

Unfortunately, yes. To change in a drastic way would put too much strain on and already strained economy.
