Far to few recognize that mental health is the basis for pretty much all other forms of health.

And of course, treatment takes much longer and is much more expensive than 10 or 20 days of antibiotics.

Psychotherapy can be more valuable than a college education sometimes.

Most of the Mental Health facilities were closed. Most hospitals had to build "Wings" to house mentally ill, and a lot of them ended up in the prison system.

I think most of our government doesn't understand it so it must not exist . . . Same goes for Global Warming.

I believe the mental health facilities went the way of the orphanages - too much abuse of the patients and not enough adequate oversight. There are enough people with mental illness in this country that I can't believe it's because of money that there isn't enough help for them.
