If you saw a guy dancing on a log that is upended so he is 5 feet in the air, and it is just feet from the edge of a busy road, would you call the cops? Mind you he is dancing to the music in his head as he has no earbuds or music playing nearby. 

Yes I would call and tell them you are a concerned citizen.

No. I would watch for a while. Sometimes people just want to do outrageous things to get attention and sometimes they want to be different.

Thanks everyone. I called the non-emergency number and asked they check on him. I got the impression when I called I was the only one. I called before asking, I just wanted to see if others would do the same .

I am usually a live and let live type of person, but I just felt this guy wasn't all there. I would hate to see him get hurt, or have someone else deal with knowing they hit someone and hurt them. If he was farther from the road, I wouldn't have done anything.

He made the decision, and should face whatever consequences befall him.  Too many idiots are protected by society.

Nothing wrong with calling them about being concerned about someone's safety. They can decide if it's something they need to check out .. Even if it's to prevent a horrible accident.
