I am for getting up. It is one way I know i still exist.
Its nattional get up day .. National baked alaska day. .national freedom day.national serpentine day. So how is that serpentine working ??ππππ
I got up :)
My driveway is like a serpentine since it has 3 switchbacks. That sort of goes with get up day because I had to get up at 3:00 am to plow snow this morning so my wife could leave for work at 4:30.
I just got up, my serpentine is nice and tight with no squeals. My only problem today is that Alaska won't fit in my oven.
I hate waking up.
I have no clue what "Baked Alaska" is.
Snakes are cool I guess.
Ah, Otis, such interesting things you post---I thought that national serpentine day somehow involved Hippy's ex wife until I looked it up:
The 4th international 'Serpentine Days' Workshop was recently held in the Lazaret resort in Sète (Southern France) from 26 to 29 October 2016.
More than 85 scientists from 13 countries with broad interest and expertise in the geological, physical, chemical, and microbiological processes of, and related to serpentinization joined for four days to present and share new findings in this exciting field of research.
Serpentinization is a geological low-temperature metamorphic process involving heat and water in which low-silica mafic and ultramafic rocks are oxidized (anaerobic oxidation of Fe2+ by the protons of water leading to the formation of H2) and hydrolyzed with water into serpentinite.
Serpentinite is a rock composed of one or more serpentine group minerals. Minerals in this group are formed by serpentinization, a hydration and metamorphic transformation of ultramafic rock from the Earth's mantle. The mineral alteration is particularly important at the sea floor at tectonic plate boundaries.
Thumbs up for the 13th amendment.
Always wanted to try baked alaska, just to say I did , but have yet to get around to it.
I'm up it's 6:56 am CST π
Love these national day prompts. Look forward to seeing them. Just wanted to say that.
Okay, I'm up.:)
I was slow getting up this morning, because I woke up to a noise at 3am and it took two hours to fall back asleep. But once I finally got up after 9 I did get moving.
As for National Freedom Day, it remembers the day that President Lincoln signed the resolution creating the 13th amendment on Feb 1, 1865. (Though it was ratified until Dec. 18th that same year.)
