The grocery stores around here run buy one, get one free sales, which is mathematically two at 50% off. We always stock up on basic supplies and non-perishable foods that we use, even if we are not in need of it at the time of the sale.

If I currently didn't need it, but had the capacity to store it, and the shelf life wouldn't diminish it, then practically anything within reason.
For food, I would try to incorporate it in the next planning of meals, so as to be able to use during it's freshest time, and even freeze if need be.
Now, we are playing with the words a bit, you mentioned "Didn't Need" which could also be construed as "Wants".Β If there is something I want, and finances as such that 50% would save me some cold hard cash . . . Then it could be anything from a Playstation 4 to a BMW 5 series.

Hi there! I will definitely buy the latest version of the PlayStation if it was being sold at half the price. The last one that I had was the third device and I used it for about two years. After that, I totally gave up on console gaming; my mobile device was simply good enough and it did the job!
My wife would buy two.
I am not normally swayed by these discounts, I buy only what I need or if I need.
