I looked up the recipe again.... Followed it to a tee. Didn't open the crock pot like Dragonfly suggests, 1 can soup, 1 cream cheese, chicken breasts. How do i get it in liguidy form so it don't burn with only one can of soup and cream cheese?
Okay... I screwed up dinner AGAIN! I burnt crockpot chicken! All you good cooks out there, how do you get the chicken liquidy to where it won't burn?
Did you have the crockpot on low or high heat? My guess is it was on high when it should have been low.
I make Dragonfly's chicken all of the time and never had a burning problem. I use two cans of soup and a half can of water. I open the crock pot a few times during cooking time to give it all a stir and to shred the chicken.
I have only recently seen recipes for cooking whole chickens in a crock pot on the yahoo page.
They all suggest you roll some aluminum foil up and make some sort of shape that will act as a "rack" to keep the chicken from lying directly on the bottom of the pot---to prevent burning.
I see no reason why you couldn't use any kind of rack you might have that would fit in the bottom of the crockpot.
