Why do hand sanitizer always say "kills 99 percent germs". But not 100 percent?

Because there are always some resistant to the sanitizer.

Which, if you dwell on it, will disturb you.
I mean, so what if you kill 99% of germs if that 1% "gets you"?
Kind of a pyrrhic victory.

I figured it was to "cover their butt" from a law suit if someone gets sick and then get sue happy by saying "you said 100 percent KILLS germs! So why'd I get sick! False advertising!!"

Bcuz the only things in life that r 100% is death & taxes.

Otherwise it's 99 %

Well, you can't have a solvent that dissolves everything because you would have no place to store it.

May be there is a similar reason for a germ killer.
