Dark, misty and still mornings. An early walk in the local woods will see deer, foxes and the occasional badger, breath steaming as they run and hide away once more. The ravens will return from the mountains and cliffs of the west to spend the Autumn and Winter in the comparative warmth of Bedfordshire. I just LOVE Autumn.

Oh yeah. I haven't seen any temps in the extended forecast above mid 70's. I ran the leaf blower a couple times already. Not all leaves are changing yet. I think it's because of all the rain we had this summer. There are also small green acorns and hickory nuts dropping already. Whatever though, I'm glad to have cooler temperatures.

It's getting really chilly in Washington, but at least better than the SUPER hot summer

It's cool here. Mornings are chilly.

Tis the season where I over dress for a chilly morning and by afternoon I'm peeling off layers like a stripper.

It slipped my mind that it was the 1 st day of autumn.

~ already autumn ! Where did the summer go ? It feels like a blur. ~

Sorry Tiger. πŸ˜” I am not feeling it yet. The temps are still in the 90's here. I am looking forward to the cooler weather but HATE the worry of the darn cold and flu season that comes with the cooler weather. It's either too hot to go outside or too scary to go outside! πŸ˜… After that 900$ electric bill... I think I'll welcome the cooler weather! πŸ˜‚

Tropical areas are getting a lot of rain these days. So I feel cold. Does that work?

Do you guys get "cold and flu" seasons to? (Please forgive me for asking. I think it is so neat to have such a wide great group of people here. I've never been out of California except for Arizona for a few days. So I hear about beautiful star lit sky's, or quiet woods with far off critters scampering away. Or Tigers Georgia peach I'm gonna try one day. OR I love the stories of people who actually built their own house! Things like that. ☺)

There are seasons of fever and the usual epidemic, just a lot of fevers come up in August or June.

The night sky view from some of the smaller islands or from a resort is just breathtaking!

I'll be feeling it after this weekend cuz I'm going to Clyde's Cider Mill in Mystic Connecticut to buy some hard cider, it's only sold in the fall for a couple of months. Clyde's Cider Mill was established in 1881 it's the oldest steam-powered Cider Mill in the United States.
