I think you should go with mint green and white for coloring the wall. These two colors will give a more classic look to your room.
I agree with @Ancient Hippy, Customer references will help a lot. Try to ask around about their company and check their services too. Not all builders work the same or offers the same services, some has specialties and expertise. Consider their quotations too.
