I watched a friend's downs daughter grow up and see what a wonderful person she has become. She's in her 40's now and totally independent. She's the first one to give me a hug when I see her at a picnic or party.

They have these continuous testing devices now. It sends a read out to your wrist monitor.  It can also send your reading to another person so your loved one knows how you are doing at all times. It's kind of pricy though. I've seen one in work and its fantastic.
