I help people everyday I go to work and it makes me happy  :) I like that I make a difference and .... I'm in a non profit job that makes me a ninja then  ! I'm leaving that job at the end of this year though to move to private sector..... I don't know if I like that at all but it is what it is. Well now I'm depressed

I work one day a week at the senior center, helping other senior citizens apply for government benefits that they may be eligible for. Yesterday, the last person that I helped was Rochelle.

There are a lot of state benefits for seniors that most don't even know about, especially if they are low income. The government makes it hard to find the info unless the seniors are super proficient on a computer, which most are not.

Most of them don't even have computers.

Jaimie JT. I helped her by telling her to listen to music because of the wind storm outside and with my idea of using her phone as a throwing star. She's gonna be safe....cos I said so.....BAM!!!  :))

On Saturday I had a friend text and ask to borrow money to fix her car. The amount of money seemed too much for what she said was wrong. I talked to my husband and he said he would look at her car. Her serpentine belt broke and the person who had previously worked n her car gave her a $500 quote. (Last time I had mine replaced it cost me $80) She said she only had $65 to get her through the week and that had to cover her groceries and gas for the week. My husband took her and her 10 year old daughter grocery shopping and paid for her groceries. Then we got our neighbor to help with fixing the car. There was one of the wheels along the belt that needed replacing as well as the belt. Since the art wasn't in stock, it had to be ordered and would come in on Monday. We lent her one of our cars to get to work and my husband and neighbor fixed her car that day. Then I baked an apple pie for my neighbor that helped to thank him. So instead of borrowing $500, she owes us about $120. And I will take a trade of dog sitting for some of that.

I helped Jan out with her question on Janet Jackson. It was a close call, but I think everything is all really muddled up now, so it's really unclear if Janet had a daughter or a cat back in the day when she was a big star. I need to rest now.
