What's the history of that town getting that name ? Lol was there a founding father named Mr.Intercourse ?

I had a teacher whose wife was from there. After Christmas break someone asked how his vacation was. He said he spent a week in Intercourse. Of course saying that to a bunch of high school kids got an interesting reaction.

That's the place that inspired the question but I think it may be nly a ghost town now. But Zzyzx Road is well known.
