I'll be planting a pink dogwood tree in memory of my mom on Mothers Day. After planting, I'll dance like a chicken around the tree, I think she'd like that.

I wish I could, Otis, but my Mom passed away last year. This is my first Mother's Day without her.

Mom died 21 years ago. Hope she's having angel food cake, (but for years I thought she would be more likely to be having barbecue.) After I was able to forgive her, I thought of her more with mercy than with justice.
We made my mom a mug full of flower pens. It came out better then I thought it would. ☺
My son and daughter-in-law, with baby in tow, came over late yesterday morning. He mowed the yard and grilled chicken and burgers on the grill. We also had fresh corn on the cob and croissant rolls. Yummy! The kids went to the mall and took some pictures from a photo booth and created the most ingenious gift - a bookmark for me from the photos. It was most awesome and well thought out since I love reading. It was a great day.
