It has happened once. When leaving the hospital I asked my husband to bring me a pair of sweatpants and he brought me flannel PJs instead.
I wouldn't, coz I don't ever wear pajamas. But I have been guilty of wearing my boxer shorts in public. I've received dirty, accusatory looks from my neighbors when I've strolled the hallway in my boxers. Never again.
The late Tara Palmer-Tomkinson (Google if necessary) used to boast of visiting her local supermarket wearing just an overcoat over her nightwear (or sometimes over nothing at all). - Not sure that adds anything to the discussion....
