I think it could be a helpful feature.

I never thought about adding an image to a question (though I've added some to answers). The big advantage is for those people who want to get opinions on the appearance of the thing they're asking about. F'rinstance, "Does anybody know what this symbol means?" That's very useful.

Sometimes, it can be most helpful - one pix worth a thousand words and all that.  :D

I think its good for new users who ask questions under anonymous. If they get good answer replies, from us, they will probably come back here without the anonymous thing on and join the community.

It has it's goods and bad. When used by someone who really needs info but doesn't want to reveal themselves, it's OK. But many abuse it to ask dumb or smart alek questions. It's part of the system, so we have to either use it and help or ignore it. Personal choice really.

Judging by the recent anonymous questions that have been asked, it doesn't seem to be.

You are allowed to answer your own question when extra details are necessary to give clear understanding. 

Sometimes it takes awhile for everyone too see your question.  Be sure to look at your profile (edit profile) and ✔️ the appropriate email notifications to see all of your answers.
