Also, keep in mind that the eye heals very slowly.
I probably needed them by the time I was 12 or 13, but didn't get them until I was 17. It was amazing - I could look at a tree and see individual leaves. I could read fine print. Incrwedible!
I only wear reading glasses for fine print. I had cataract surgery on both eyes over twenty years ago, and my vision is very good.

About 15 years ago I noticed I couldn't see up close. Really put a hurting on my reading and cross stitch. So off to the eye DR. I now wear glasses for doing this.

I've worn glasses since I was 10 years old. I wore contact lenses in my 20's, 30's, and 40's. Then when I went through hormonal changes, my eyes dried out so bad, they irritated my eyes. I then had to go back to wearing glasses. I can't see without them.
I wear progressive lenses now and have been wearing glasses for about 20 years. The older I get, the more my eyesight changes from year to year.
So call the office back and explain the situation and see what they say. After all, they are the ones that gave you the first solution in the first place. If what you're doing isn't working, they need to know that so they can have you try something else.
