I've never been to Switzerland, but since I was a kid seeing the different images of it has always captivated me.
Scotland, my fathers favorite country. He had been all over the world during WWII and more so for business in his older years. Scotland always held a special place in his heart and he went at least twice a year. He told me so much about Scotland that it eventually became MY favorite.
Romania holds a special place in my heart. It's where a number of my relatives are from. I've been there several times, including to visit family who lives there. I think it's a beautiful country that a lot of people don't know much about.
Italy. Been there many times and have seen most of the country. It wAs the homeland of my late stepfather, Vittorio, who taught us Italian and imbued my siblings and I with the magnificence of its culture.
Like Hippy, I have to go with Scotland. My grandmother was of Scottish decent, though generations lived in Canada. After my dad did some genealogy research, he learned he is actually 75% of Scottish decent. My great-grandmother's maiden name was Urquhart. That is name of the castle that is in ruins along Loch Ness. It is on my bucket list to go over and see it firsthand.
I would vote for Norway. I've never been there, but my dad's side of the family emigrated from there. My aunts and uncles found the old family home with cousins from the way-back still living there.

I would like to see Finland. My maiden name comes from there! Lol! In other words it's part of my history on my dad's side. 😊
Venezuala, I have family there and used to visit. It's too dangerous to go now unfortunately
Ireland because of family heritage. Hope to get there one day.
I still love the US, I had the best time of my life in So Cal. But India and Finland (an odd pair) also call to me rather a lot.
Hi Didge! It will have to be the United Kingdom and that’s mainly because I studied and lived in London for a pretty long time. I simply appreciate the welcome and opportunities that were presented to me! I will definitely be going back as there are several places that I couldn’t find time to visit!
In a way, yes. Wales........someone once very special to me, lives there. Plus, I know it's one hell of a beautiful country.
