Pretty darn good. I live about 60 km west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and my town is located on the Blue Mountains in the middle of a national park. Only have to walk a couple of kilometres in any direction to be out in the wild. Great spot.

It is, Ancient. The city has crept up toward us in the 53 years we've lived here but it can't creep into the national park. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Today, it'll be in the low 70's, clear skies and the perfect day to sit on the porch, sip coffee and watch the leaves fall.

Dear DragonFly,

For the first twenty years of my life, I assumed that the whole world was built around Pacific coastal rainforest, fern fronds and ocean fog...I always knew that just a few miles inland were warmer prairies, but have never lived there until now...

This painting is of the Mima mounds, their origin not fully understood but there are lots of them here...so unusual as to inspire at least this one artist... And you can see the fog and those conifers at the edge doing their darndest to encroach...and then not too far from here are the Mima riffles... lots of such and waterfalls too in this sylvan prairie countryside!

It is: Crowded, lots of traffic, tons of suburban homes on hills, warm weather all year long, palm trees, beaches. It's Orange County and I love it here :)

Not good at the moment. I am under hurricane watch. The rain should start later today, but the worst of won't hit until tomorrow. For those of you that pray, please pray for those in the path of this monster.

You know it is going to get bad when Jim Cantore shows up. He got in last night.

This morning the power went off for about 5 hours. Fortunately we have a generator so no real inconvenience.  Neighbors will be late for work. The temperature is cooling down, about 25 degrees lower than last week. It is quiet for awhile then the tempo picks up with the birds fluttering and the river traffic moving. In the afternoon the testing range across the river starts. We get some real booms out of that. By 16:00 all starts to calm down again.

It's sub-tropical, so hot and extremely humid in summer.  And, also in summer, when it's not so hot that you get sunburnt hanging out the clothes, there's a tropical cyclone 400km North of here, and we get the edges, which includes heavy rain and flash flooding.  And then we get a break from the heat in Winter with 10°C [50°F] on a very cold day!

Extremely comfortable . . . Sun is shining, it is around 68-70 degrees with dry crisp air. The Leafes are bursting with color, and about to start falling.

We're about to be hit with a hurricane, so...there's that.

Most of the time it's warm and sunny and nice here, everything's green all year long, Spanish moss in the trees, but the hurricanes I could do without -_-

I live in a small English town which use to be quaint, clean and thriving with a fantastic array of shops. People use to be polite and well mannered, and you felt safe. Sadly it now consists of Poundlands, Aldi's (which was Waitrose), Lidls (which was the police station), Nail bars, African food suppliers, noodle bars, charity shops, boarded up houses, and a sudden influx of Christian churches. Well, I say churches but they occupy the old bingo hall, nightclub, bank, scout's hall and gym. With names like "The City Of God" and "The Redeemed Christian Church." Still my town is beginning to look like Armageddon is on the way so maybe they are touting for business. People are rude, lazy, and ill mannered. Still it made my partner and I chuckle the other day to find a pub converted into a funeral parlour, (I do love irony).

If I walk down the High Street, I could be in Nigeria, Romania, Poland, or Syria. This might be because we are closer to Dover so have been heavily affected by immigration.

The nicest thing is the local park, that's if you can ignore the English and Polish drunks occupying the benches. Hence, I usually drive just a little further out where some towns are still untouched. I am still close to the country. In the summer months you open the windows to the smell of muck spreading or onions, I prefer the latter. Weather today was sunny but cold.

Britain makes me so proud, I did giggle at this though.

Fall is the best season here.  Temps are mild during the day with crisp nights.  We had the first rain since May. Flowers are still going strong as are the tomatoes.  Sorta rural here, so have raccoons and skunks coming in an digging stuff up.
